How To Get The Best Deal At Auction

An auction can be fast-paced, so remember these tips before you begin. They're useful for many auctions, not just ours!

  1. Research your vehicles beforehand. Know your final offer for each. Use our info desk and NADA Value Guides, and consider bringing a mechanic to look a car over on Thursday or Friday.

  2. Choose 4-5 vehicles you have an interest in. Your first choice may end up with a bid that is more than you want to pay, leaving another choice as your best buy. Also, your first choice may be one of the last to run. If you miss that one, and bid on no others, you've missed out until next Saturday.

  3. Even if it's your first auction, make sure you know the rules.

  4. GET HERE EARLY! Doors open at 8am for further inspection.

  5. Listen carefully to the current bid amount. If you are not sure of it, ask the auctioneer or one of the employees in the lane. Bid with confidence!

  6. The lanes are always crowded. Raise your hand high! Make sure the auctioneer sees that you want to bid.

  7. If the vehicle does not sell to the high bidder, approach the seller on the block and ask the minimum price. If you are really interested, the seller will work with you to make a deal. Remember, the cars are here to SELL!
